I just finished all 3 pre accending missions and i wondered if there was any trick for defeating the doppleganger being a Ranger/Necromancer. I have tried many many times and many different ways i just wanted to know if anyone else had ideas. I tried to ask for help in game however nobody listened and sadly just called me a N00b and other such things.

Oh im only lvl 19 if that makes any difference.

ok only put your rituals (the things you summon) and while he casts you fire it him, dont take any bow skills

Nature Rituals and Sacrifices. He'll either kill himself with Sacrifices, or spend all his time casting Nature Rituals.

If that doesn't work, take all bow skills and run up to him. He'll switch to his axe if you're in melee range, while you can use your bow attacks.

Yeah, pretty much the best strategy for any build, is to bring useless skills. He'll cast them, and you'll have extra time to do whatever you need to do to beat him.

I just beat him real easy with my R/N. Looks like this:

1.Distracting Shot
2.Apply Poison
3.Troll Unguent
4.Spirit (5 sec cast)
5.Spirit
6.Spirit
7.Spirit
8.Spirit

Walk to the three stepping stones and activate first two. use Apply poison, step on third and skip cimematic. Run right up to him face to face and start attacking with bow. He will cast all the spirits and waste alot of time. Just watch for him to use Troll Unguent and nail him with Distracting Shot when he does. Use apply poison any time when he tries to cast another spirit. He should be dead in under a minute.

Here's what I did:

1. Favorable Winds
2. Spirit
3. Spirit
4. Spirit
5. Spirit
6. -----
7. -----
8. Penetrating Shot

Get right up in his face immediately, he'll switch to a melee weapon (which neither of you have any attribute points in). He seems to cast from left to right on your skillbar so ... Favorable Winds will add to your damage, but not to his. Start spamming Penetrating Shot. He's dead in about 30 seconds.
